Who we are

What we collect
- Order information — name, email, shipping address, phone number, and the items you buy.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number; we only keep the last four digits and the card brand.
- Marketing preferences — if you subscribe, we store your email and the date you joined.
- Usage data — page views, referrer and approximate region, collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track individuals across sites.
Why we use it
- To fulfill and deliver your order, and to handle returns and support.
- To send transactional email: order confirmation, shipping notice, delivery updates.
- To send marketing email only if you opted in. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To detect and prevent fraud and payment disputes.
- To meet tax, accounting and recordkeeping obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what's needed to run the store:
- Stripe — payment processing and fraud screening.
- Our US fulfillment warehouse — name, address and order contents, so it can ship to you.
- Carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — name and address for delivery.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and aggregated analytics.
- Email provider — transactional and marketing email delivery.
- Legal — where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is aggregated and retained by Cloudflare under its own retention policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of marketing at any time. To make a request, email support@pawandtrail.com. We respond within 30 days. California residents may also request disclosure of the categories of information we collect and share.
Cookies
We use one first-party storage key to hold your shopping cart on your device. We do not run third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers on this site.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider, and never touches our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we follow industry-standard practices and limit internal access to order data.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
